A Grandmother vs. Grandson showdown

Granny Simulator is a hilarious simulation video game wherein a grandmother and her young grandson are locked in a violently wacky struggle. Developed by Nick Kestle, this charming 3D indie game offers both single-player and multiplayer modes so you can enjoy it with friends and family. However, while the game features a young character, it’s not recommended for younger audiences due to its use of violence and some general mature content.

One weird relationship

In Granny Simulator, there are two central characters: the slow-moving Granny and her energetic but nimble toddler grandson. The kid’s singular objective is to kill his grandma using various collectible objects. Meanwhile, Granny’s objective in order to win a round is to complete all of her daily tasks while trying to stay alive. In solo mode, you play the grandson by default while you and your friends can compete or team up in multiplayer.

The map is of a large two-story house with a yard and multiple secret rooms. As the kid, you can pick up a variety of items—like bottles, hammers, grenades, and tasers—and throw or use them on Granny to whittle down her health. To get better weapons, you’ll need to collect keys and open the hidden chests. Granny can pick up items, too, but her main weapon is her powerful kick that will send you flying.

There are 3 levels available: First Level, Second Level, and H’ween Level or the Halloween map. Meanwhile, you can either play solo, in public, or with friends and host a game. If there are more than two players, you can choose to be a duplicate character so there can be one Granny versus two grandsons or even vice-versa. However, the 3D models will stay the same. Playing will also eventually unlock some cool skins. 

Multiplayer hijinks

All in all, Granny Simulator is a fun multiplayer game to pass the time. It doesn’t have a lot of content but the map is wide enough and there are a lot of hidden items you can try to find. The graphics look rough and the models often clip through other objects but that just adds to the silly charm of this game. This is a highly-recommended game for just goofing off with wacky violence.
